Fortunately I had some left over charm squares from the fabric I used so I created another strip to add to the height. Then I tore apart my fabric tubs and found a smidgeon of brown fabric that I thought would work. Bailey's a dog, is he really going to worry if my brown stripe didn't exactly match?
It's been a while since I free motion quilted so working on this tonight was a good exercise. FM is definitely a muscle we need to use regularly and I was a bit rusty but soon got in the rhythm.

I can't believe that I got it all done in a day, just yesterday I was looking at this fabric with dread.
I used some brown flannel that I had laying around doing nothing for the background. This using up my stash business is really making me feel good.
I've been looking ahead. I'll be picking up some fabric to finish off my 9 patches tomorrow (it's sign up day at the quilt shop for Winter classes!!). In the meantime, I can dream about my next new start.
It's a Cindy Shake quilt!!!! This was a Christmas present from one of my dear friends (and fellow quilter). I love Cindy Shake's patterns and can't wait to start this one.
See you tomorrow when I fill you in on the class (es) I sign up for. I'm trying to keep it to just the one class but you know me...I can't help but jump in with two feet.
Take care, Vivian

Bailey's quilt is looking good. There is no way I could fit in regular classes. I have enough trouble getting to the quilt group once a week. Can't wait to see what you sign up for.
That was fast! I'm sure Bailey will appreciate it. :)
I love the Sunflower Trio quilt. That's going to be so fun to do.
Bailey's quilt is great, and I'm sure he and his Mum will put it to very, very good use. The sunflower trio, lovely pattern. Cheers from Jean
